Twice since I updated to PM 4.0 the browser has crashed. Both times I had five or six tabs running, but that wouldn't be unusual for me.
Also, I find it is still hanging when I log in to my Justhost email. This doesn't happen every time, but it doesn't seem to be following a pattern. I can have multiple tabs open and login without problems, or 1 tab and get caught.

    OS is XP Home.

    Hi,

Did you update PM from 3.6 to the 4 version or did you remove the 3.5 from the Add/Remove Programs? Or did you update to the 4.06 from 4.01? version and experienced crashes from then on? On PM's website it is clearly stated that for XP it is recommended to use 3.6.

Nevertheless I took the plunge and installed PM v4 although I have XP Home as well and no problems with crashing whatsoever. I removed version 3 in Add/Remove and installed the 4 but kept all my personal settings etc.

If you also have Firefox installed, what version is it and if version 4, do you also have the same problem?

I would suggest that you backup your bookmarks - if any - and delete PM and all your other PM settings in Add/Remove and reinstall PM. Then restore your bookmarks, or if you have Firefox download the "migration tool". http://www.palemoon.org/

oma - to your first line of questions, no. I saw a mention of PM 4.0 here at MG and installed it without removing the earlier version.
I had 3.6 and that had recently begun to be troublesome with the email login specifically. I thought the update would solve that.
FF is probably still installed. I will check that when I get home tonight (company's computer cops permit access to MG - much obliged!)

    Later, at home...
How do I save the passwords and addons in Palemoon?

If your Firefox version 4 is working correctly and has all your personal settings in it, I would use the migration tool from Palemoon after you have deleted PM and all its personal settings from your Add/Remove Programs. I think that the migration tool should take all the personal settings from Fx and transfer those into Palemoon.
as per Palemoon's author here: http://www.palemoon.org/

    Therefore:
    1. Delete Palemoon in Add/Remove Programs and remove all personal settings.
    2. Install PM
    3. Download the migration tool and that should give you a fresh installation of PM and profile. You will find the migration tool in the above link, scrolling down a bit in the page.

PS: I forgot if the migration tool of PM will also migrate the addons. My memory sometimes doesn't serve me well anymore. :( If not, then just download one addon at a time and check each time if your browser crashes or not. That way you can check if a particular addon is causing the crashes or not.
