pc probe 2.20

I cannot get this particular version of pc probe to install to my system. I keep getting a "cannot find lm control" whatever that means. I've got windows xp , a7n8x dlx mobo, with a ati 9700pro, 2400xp proc.. The probe installed with no problems in my other system( a7v8x 2100xp with windows xp & nvidia ti4200). I was wondering if this problem could be related to my mobo? Do I need to install something else to make it work right ? The other pc probes 2.19 & 2.18 both installed and worked, although the temps were offbase.
