As said in title, my pc shits down after 5mins of prime 95, no BSOD, just power cuts out.

    Specs

    i5 760 @4.0Ghz (Heatkiller 3.0 Water block)
    Asus P7P55-M
    2 x 2 GB 1600Mhz C9 Corsair RAM
    GTX 480 (EK water block)
    Corsair TX850

    BIOS settings, CPU core 1.4
    DRAM 1.65
    FSB 200
    Multi 20
C1E off and Load line calib on

These are voltages that i can change

    IMC voltage
    CPU PLL
    PCH

    Any ideas?

    Hi

Is this PC had any new hardware added or as you are overclocking you likely have gone too far, so back it down to default and see if PC is stable, then take it up step by step again, but you may not reach 4GHZ stable with your cooling, while good not every component will take an overclock.

That's a nice OC but it's a crap shoot really and it all depends on the components if they're near the high end or low-end of the range. You did check out the limits of each of your subsystems first, correct? Like Dave said, turn it down man, it might only take 5 or 10MHz less.;)

Damn that's a nice machine!:drool I'd love to build a W/C machine but these waterblocks along with all the infrastructure is just too expensive.:cry

Sorry i didnt reply earlier, had a busy week! Thanks for the replies but all is sorted now.

It turned out to be a faulty MB, one of the VRM chokes was leaking! :-D

I splashed out with some cash i got from relatives for xmas and got myself an sli capable Gigabyte P55A-UD4, my i5 is now sitting at 4.2Ghz 36 hour F@H stable. I had a quick go at 4.4 but it takes a lot more voltage.

Max temps are 52C with a 21C ambient. not bad eh!

    I'll have a go at 4.4 later.
