PC switched to classic, WTF?!

My XP PC has witched to classic theme, yet it says it's on the normal theme, what has happened?

Can anybody help me?

 

Try switching it to classic, reboot, then switch back to normal, then reboot again.

Never mind, I have fixed the problem by using a theme program. Thanks for your support anyway.

 

It appears I was wrong, upon reboot, my PC still has the theme applied, but goes to windows Classic Mode yet again. Does anybody have a solution?

 

Is your Themes service enabled and working?

Start->Run->services.msc

The Themes service should be Automatic and Started to be able to change to non-Classic themes.

have you tried to install the UXTheme.dll patch?

 

do you have StyleXP installed by any chance

 

A.) I removed my custom theme and the problem seems to have been fixed.
B.) Yes, I was using StyleXP

the .theme file for my skin was missing

 

StyleXP is only for a limited time trial I believe...unless you buy it
