Anyone know where I can figure this out?

I have an Acer Aspire AM1640-U1401A, using an NVIDEA GeForce 7600 GS to run dual monitors.

I took it apart to add another video card to run 4 monitors, but there is no more video card slots! So... I still want at least one more monitor, is it possible to use my PCI card and my onboard video to make my third monitor work?

thanks! I should mention, I don't game - I'm just looking to expand my monitor real estate. Performance is last on my list, I simply want that third monitor to work! :)

You can rule out using your on-board graphics, it's almost always switched off automatically when you add a real graphics card.

I tried a few years ago with nVidia 5200 cards in my laptop docking station; a 64Mb card allowed me to use both outputs = 4 monitors; I upgraded to a 128Mb but it only allowed me to use 1 = 3 monitors; both cards were from the same manufacturer, XFX.

I guess it's a case of trying one out, PCI graphics cards are becoming pretty rare now, ATI-based cards especially.
