PCI or PCI Express?

i dont know how to find out if my motherboard has PCI or PCI Express? can someone tell me please.

 

Well has your mainboard got an AGP slot? If so then they are standard PCI slots and not PCI-E because motherboards dont normally have them both.. Well at least I dont think they do

it says theres 1 agp slot for expansion but i have a agp video card and it wont fit anywhere i sent it in to get a slot but they say it isnt compatible for our motherboard?

 

your mobo has IGP (integrated graphics) and an APG slot. You dont send hardware in to get a slot, you either buy new hardware or deal with what you have, in your case your fine for now since its has an AGP slot. (should be the black one next to 3 white pci slots). When installing a new AGP video card, you MUST disable your IGP through the BIOS, you need to look for the option that says video/agp/IGP and disable it.

 

see thats the thing though...thats why i sent it in theres no agp slot. i know it is black or brown i have looked all over that motherboard and theres no slot. so i guess i have to use one of the ipc slots then for a video card?

Intresting, did some research and there are two intel D845GRG board's, im guessing you have the one with out an AGP slot.Is this one's yours ?

yeah pretty much it is EXCEPT... i can c where they would plaster the agp slot on there. it just isnt there almost like they forget. but that one u cant c the place where it would go. (i think)
