PDF creator

Anyone have any suggestions for a good FREE program that will create a PDF document. I'd prefer one that I can save a picture in also not just text.

Have a look at this, http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads41.html. There are several freeware PDF creators listed.

 

I suppose there are others that will do the same, but I use PrimoPDF. It installs like a printer, and you just "print" to it. A window opens, you choose a folder to store the generated file, and that's it. I also scan documents and images and then send them to PrimoPDF.

 

There was a simple PDF Creator app that functions as a virtual printer driver (like TheDoug described) and came with earlier versions of Acrobat, but apparently Adobe doesn't offer it anymore. Do a search for "zPDFCreator-0_9_3-AD_DeploymentPackage-WithoutToolbar" and you'll find the installer for it which is supposedly the same thing.

 

Has anyone else had my problem with Adobe Acrobat 5? - when I "print" with it it prints a multi-page document back to front. I have uninstalled my conventional printer, uninstalled and re-installed Adobe Acrobat but the fault remains.

@floyd....I use CutePDF...very simple....only download the CutePDFWriter...wouldn't trust the other software here http://www.cutepdf.com/

 

PrimoPDF will do this. I just inserted a picture into a Word file which already contained text and printed to PDF. Worked fine.
