php chatroom help

I'm a network engineer, not a programmer, so I'm trying to set up a chatroom for my wifes website based on php and i'm not having an easy time. Does anyone have tips on the easiest app to use?

 

Have you thought of installing a forum on your wifes site? There is a cool php forum called SMF www.simplemahines.org it has many many extras to add on to it including a shout box also integrated chat.

I use it myself, also this CHAT integrates well with SMF as you will see if you read the link..If you need any extra help on how to install the SMF forum if you go that route let me know..
