Physical requirements for high speed dial-up.

    I use dial-up. My phone line was severed and I've put the two required lines together to get the phone working again, as well as my standard isp connection.

    Lately, my isp is loading its high speed service at boot-up, but it doesn't seem to connect...until I kill off the application (X1Exe.exe, Net Zero).

    I was wondering if this higher speed service might require more of the 10 colored strands in the phone line to connect.
