Been trying to fix my fiancé laptop. I have managed to update windows and other programs through some difficult processes. the computer is not crashing near as bad . I have followed read this first. now I have ran couple logs and was wanting some info before proceeding any further with any log files. I have two log files (MalwareB and RogueK) from the first two program scans and the way I read the instructions it says to post the log after Roguekiller is ran, is this correct or do you need more info first?

Indeed, just upload the log after scanning with RogueKiller, we do not want you to do anything more at this time. :) (No fixes with it)

I have tried to download tdsskiller several times and when I click on it on the desktop its asking what program do I want to use to open it. The download doesn't look like a zipped file.

Just skip that step for now then, or...try running it in safe mode.

What info? Did you try running TDSSKiller in safe mode? Did it work? If not... continue on with the rest of the Read and Run me First procedures. :)

Re run Hitman Pro, enable/activate the free trial and let it remove all that it finds.

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

Let me know how things are running. :)

No. You are only seeing them because hidden files is active. They are system files.

Kestrel13, from what i can tell at this point all seems to be working much better. The only thing i can see is that it looks like my system is still working hard. Watching the Disk light indicator and its constantly working hard and at times system is not responding like it should. Thank you TimW for your reply.

I was finally able to download and run the TDSKiller and here is the clean logs.
Not sure if this will help anyone else but i had already put my UAC back to normal and activated my virus protection when i was finally able to get it downloaded as a zip. I have chrome on here and i clicked on the bottom left of screen where it showed the file download and I then saved to desktop. I went back and turned UAC back off and turned off virus protection and then opened and ran it. ;)

I would say you are all ready to follow final steps :)

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Well son of a gun. Now this laptop will not boot up ! Only gives me a blank screen with a flashing curser. Can't boot into safe mode either. Only thing I can get it to do is go into setup utility F2. Any help please.
