    Hi,

    I run Windows XP

This burner has been in for 2 years, always worked a treat.

The other day I tried to burn some jpegs to a cd, but it comes up as please insert a writeable cd into the drive. I have tried differentcd-r media, and different DVD RW media, none will burn. The drive will play any type of disk, just won't burn.

I have uninstalled and installed the drive again...same result.

I have downloaded the Pioneer 1.21 latest firmware...all still no go.

I have checked properties tag, and varied the recording speed to 8. I have been into the services menu and enabled IMAPI to automatic.

All I have done recently is installed a new Battery Free Magnetic mouse, and an MPs flash program. I rolled back a restore to before these dates, and the problem still persists.

Any more clues one can give???

    Thanks.....
