Please help have been infected with WinReanimator

Hello, I have encountered something called WinReanimator which has lodged itself on the right hand side of the taskbar (is it called the intray?) and regularly pops up and I am sure you know what the rest does. A search reveals the braviax.exe in my HDD C drive and cannot be deleted while the pc is on. I am thinking to delete it in safe mode but i suspect it is embedded deeper than that so I have not doen so yet.

I thought I might find it by looking for any exe files I picked up on this day but apart from something called us156.exe which happened the same time this problem ocurred. I have tried to read up on this through a google search but I am too worried to try anything in case I am on the wrong site.

I have noticed that apart from resetting my IE homepage, I cannot activate HijackThis or Spybot S&D I even tried to reload my saved exe file for HJT and downloading it again. But it wont start up at all.

Can someone please offer some advice, thanks.

Can anyone suggest why I am unable to activate my HJT and SPybot S&D. I seem to have picked up a WinReanimator/ braviax.exe problem and despite trying to download new version and reinstalling them, I cannot get them to work at all. My IE browser automatically changes its homepage.

Any ideas? thanks
