Please help, I can NOT create a hijackThis log!

    Hello,

    My system is slowly dying. My disk space is almost nil.

    I have followed all the instructions. But now I can not download the new hijackThis software, and can not create a log from the old version.

    The error I get is: The download cannot continue. Error parsing voucher.

    Please help.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

    If you are running low on disk space, you will just have to delete some of the stuff you have on yur hard disk.

    If you have followed all the instructions in the READ & RUN ME, where are the two logs requested from step # 6?

    When are you getting the error you mentioned? Is it when downloading HijackThis or when running it? This error message often occurs with PDF files. You may have your file type associations for .LOG files set to Adobe Reader. Do the below:

    Open My Computer and go to Tools > Folder Options and click on the File Types tab. Scroll down to LOG and select it. What does it say for "Opens With"? If it is not Notepad, click on Change and select Notepad from the list. OK your change and try saving the log again.

    Thank you so very much for your quick and easy to follow response!
    Changing the open with notepad in folder options worked. That was it.

    As far as low disk space, I had taken off everything that I could. Nothing changed until I ran all CCleaner and CounterSpy and that freed up a good deal of space.

    Here are the logs from step 6. And my HijackThis log.

    Hello,

    I posted my Bitdefender log and the Panda Active Scan in a previous post. So it will not allow me to repost it.

    I have done more cleaning since. Can I rerun both scans and respost the results?
