i installed a windows xp update dec. 31, 2004, and soon after that, my internet programs couldn't be launched.

it will launch the internet explorer for about 1 second and then close itself, as if it didn't happen. it will launch aol for about 3 seconds and then close itself. it would launch yahoo messenger for about 2 seconds and then close itself.

also, i keep getting an error message about drwtsn32.exe and the system would hang.

is there anyway i can fix this? if you need more details, please, please help. i tried taking it to people to get fixed but they can't figure it out without reinstalling and reformatting it.

    please help.

Ok, the drwtsn32.exe error has to do with the Dr. Watson utility built into windows. It is called up when the service on your PC such as Internet Explorer or your AOL terminate like that. What Exactly does it say about drwtsn32.exe? This could be coming up because it saved a log file or because it failed to load itself.
