Please HELP! My comp just beeps at me 3 times and doesn't start

I tried cleaning my comp as suggested on the one thread that I can no longer find for some reason, so starting a new one. After cleaning my fans including the cpu one and the fins beneath, I try to start my comp and it just beeps 3 times and does nothing. It sounds like its starting, but its not sending a signal to my monitor so I don't know what is going on. Did I just possible fry my comp? Please help, this is a very urgent matter.

THIS IS FROM MY PREVIOUS THREAD:
I have no idea why, but I'll be using my comp for the past few days and all of a sudden it just shuts off, no warning or anything, but everything else in the surge protector stays on, moniter, speakers, usb hub. And then I can't turn it right back on by pressing the button in front, nothing happens. First I have to turn the main switch on the back, then undo the power cord off the back, then plug back in and flip switch on. After all that, I hit the button in front and it justs blips on for a split second and goes right back off, with nothing happening again unless I do the unplug process all over, and this just keeps happening and happening for like 5-10 times before it finally works and turns on, but then it onll stays on for maybe 5 minutes before cuts off again, no warning. What is going on here? Can my power supply finally be going as the comp is about 5 years old? It can't be a virus as I've run 5 different virus scans from zonealarm,mcafee, norton, AVG, and avast along with spyware runs from spybot, zonealarm, avg, ad-aware, and nothing is being found other than the normal tracking cookies, which I deleted both thru the programs and clearing IE cookies and such. Please someone help me out as I really need this comp to run right as its also my work computer. Please send any replies both on here and at the same name @ aol. ok, but my monitor doesn't even show anything. I don't know what to do here. can you help me out a little better than just sending me to another thread?

When you cleaned inside you may have disturbed something.

Check all the connectors, especially the fan ones.
Take the memory out, clean and reseat it.
Did you put all the motherboard power connectors back?

I've been looking for a beeping reference.

 

I went to that site and the code it says for my beeping is = 3long beeps (since they are a lil longer than the original startup beep) a 3270 keyboard card. What does that mean. Please help out on this

 

Did you try changing out the mouse and keyboard?

Also, make sure you didn't leave a floppy disk in the floppy drive. rolleyes

 

yes changed keyboards and it still just beeps at me, with nothing coming on the monitor or anything, even if I leave the keyboard unplugged

 

Thanks to all that helped! It was a combination off a few things, but mainly the RAM wasn't pushed back in all the way.
