Help with what? You did not even tell us what problems you are having.

Also, please read the announcement and sticky threads. HJT logs should only be posted when requested and then they must be attachments to your message. Before we look at HijackThis logs we require standard cleaning procedures to be run. Please run the steps below.

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem, boot into normal mode and make sure you follow the below directions exactly:

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

    Please follow directions:
    - do not post logs as inline text. They must be attached per my instructions. Inline logs will be deleted.
    - you must installed HijackThis properly. You installed it exactly where we requested that you not install it. ( C:\Documents and Settings\leo craton\Desktop\HijackThis.exe ) Fix this now before continuing.
    - you must exit all browsers ( C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe ) before running HijackThis.

If you are using WinXP or WinMe, make sure you have system restore disabled (per the tutorial).

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    O2 - BHO: BHOmodObj Class - {7F6828CA-9E42-462C-BC60-418C8144012C} - c:\windows\system\BHOmod.dll (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)
    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\msjava.dll (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\msjava.dll (file missing)
    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {85d1f590-48f4-11d9-9669-0800200c9a66} - %windir%\bdoscandel.exe (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Uninstall BitDefender Online Scanner v8 - {85d1f590-48f4-11d9-9669-0800200c9a66} - %windir%\bdoscandel.exe (file
    missing)
    O16 - DPF: {DE4735F3-7532-4895-93DC-911111111173} - http://afris.biz/ex.exe

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log as an attachment. And tell us how things are working.

    Still running a browser: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

    But your log is clean.

What is the exact error message you get. And why do you want to install Norton? Did you already buy it? Try booting in safe mode and installing it.
