Please Help...trojan.perfcoo

    Norton has deteced this trojan, however it will not remove it, it will only quarantine it. In the meantime I keep getting these annoying warning messages from Norton and it appears that this Trojan keeps popping up in new places on my computer. I have installed and ran AdAware, AVG Anti-spyware, and Spybot in Safe Mode with System Restore "off." These have not been any help as they all say that nothing is found. What can I do to completely get rid of this? (I am somewhat computer saavy but nowhere near an expert) Thank you!!

    Tried the symantec thing and it didn't find Perfcoo. Then tried to download CounterSpy and run Panda per your instructions but both failed to download/run. What can you recommend now?

    There is a lot more to the instructions in the READ & RUN ME link then just CounterSpy & Panda. What about everything else in those instructions? Did you run ALL of the other steps. If you could not get CounterSpy, did you try AVG Antispyware as requested. What about the requested logs from the below:

    • BitDefender Online scanner
    • GetRunKey
    • ShowNew
    • HijackThis
