Please will someone help me figure this out?

    I am seeking help for a problem I have for the PC game Oblivion. I cannot get the Oblivion CD to recognize the original installation screen to come up after completely uninstalling everything. When I "Supposedly" have the game completely uninstalled, I simply re-insert the game disc into my computer and try to get to the installation screen to come up. But a screen that is supposed to come once I complete the installation comes up instead of the regular starting installation screen. If someone could help me figure this out, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
