My computer is very slow to start programs and I keep getting Pop-ups saying my computer is infected with the Bloodhound Virus and then an ad about Protection Center. I have read and run the "Read & Run me first" (i hope i did everything right). I tried running Look2Me but it didn't reopen after the minute that it says it will.

here is my HJT log .. thanks

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Please do not post any logs inline and why did you when it you had already attach it.

You do not have a Look2Me problem. That is why it did not work. You have a Virtumonde infection. Run the below and attach the VundoFix log

    Virtumonde aka Trojan Vundo Removal

Then attach a new HJT log too.

Okay that seems to have resolved your malware issues!

    Is everything working okay?

If so, you have some work to do! Your system is way out of date with it's Windows updates and also Sun Java update. These and other issues can represent major security risks to you. These issues and others will be resolved by complete the steps below:

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to go back to step 1 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points. Then reboot and enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

After that, you should work thru the below link:

Thanks. I don't seem to be getting those pop-ups anymore but once windows starts it still takes about a minute or 2 for anything to start after i click on it. (IE for example, but any program i try to run).

I doubt your issues are malware. It is more than likely related to your PC speed, amount of RAM, software you are running and various things you may have done or not done on your PC (like did you ever do a system repair - Note: I'm not telling you to do one. I asking if you ever did. Have you done a disk Error check? How about a defrag?) Is Trend Micro just slowing your PC down? Perhaps it requires too much horsepower for your system. You are also running a few things at startup that you just don't need to run. Like the below:
    O4 - Global Startup: Adobe Reader Speed Launch.lnk = C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\reader_sl.exe
    O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE

Did you purchase Ewido and CounterSpy? Or are they free trials? If free, uninstall both of them. Then after you get your system updated (YOU MUST DO THIS) to WinXP SP2 then you can install and use the free Microsoft Windows Defender.

I got rid of that reader_sl.exe from startup and it made it a lot better but was still slow. Then i did a defrag .... and WOW it is so much better. Thank you so much, I forgot the computer could even be this quick. (I have also followed all the other steps as well)

    Thanks again.
