Port and Router hell

    Ok ive been here before and got help really fast...and very good help at that.... http://www.portforward.com/2wire/1800hg-portforwarding.htm

    I am not good at networking...its a pain in my ass...but i am trying to host a personal site off of my own home computer with my adsl connection, with unlimited bandwith...but im having trouble...i got a server program running...my static ip is 192.168.1.68, and my wan ip is 70.244.32.217....i am able to access my webpage from my home network...the problem im having is i cannot get the page out of my network sombody told me about fowarding ports...which i have done...i may not have done it right tho....i went here http://www.portforward.com/2wire/1800hg-portforwarding.htm and followed step by step....that is my configuration...and i think i have the ports fowarded but i may not...everything is running as it should....if you kno of what i can do to get this to work correctly then it would be much appreciated....if you need anymore info from me about my configuration you can contact me on yahoo messenger here punished_by_metal_n0r4d_xpgx or on aim here xXxn0r4dxXx ...or if you prefer email send to scrappy_d3m0n@hotmail.com.....thanks

    I dont have your answer but have you tried typing HTTP://your_internet_ip ?

    If you have, and got nothing then your router should have some type of logging. Look at the log and see if it is rejecting your other computers IP on port 80. If it is then your router is not forwarding that port to your internal IP. That will at least boil down where the problem is ( internal or external )

    :D i freakin love this site...thank you so much for your help....it is working...i forgot that windows is picky about restarting your comp...to configure network shit.. lol....but thank you for your help...its greatly appreciated ......

    ok i got the ports opened and my site is able to be made public...but now im having other problems.....maybe someone can help with this....html, php nuke all work fine....( ie... here is a php site set up on my network http://spcot.servehttp.com/nuke/index.php ) works fine as you can see... but for some reason...images and media (mp3, mpeg, jpg, gif, etc) will not link off of my server...i am running windows based server...with xp professional...using wm server tools...(this is just for personal use...no major uses) can anyone please help me resolve what the problem might be....i hope so....btw..all i had to do to open the ports was set the router in dmz plus mode, and restart my pc...lol i feel like such a idiot now. lol...
