Port Intrusion Attempts

  1. Hi All..Im running 2003 Server, but not using the server aspects. I get a tremendous number of intrusion attempts. Ive done the site recommended system checks and seem to be clean. What I'd like to know is how to turn certain ports off and also is there a way to auto block these attempts. I have Norton Int. Sec. Pro. installed. Thanks

Well, from your description, I'd say that norton is doing its job. If you wish to prevent all the intrusions, then I'd get a router and block all the ports that you do not use. This way you will not have any intrusions.

Or simply ask your ISP to change your IP, due to these intrusions.
