Post virus problems

I got the bestfirends virus through aim. I tried several things to try and rid my computer of the virus and after stubling onto this site and following the procedures I thought I had. I no longer have any problems with aim or with my task manager closing itself out. I dont have and svchoste.eve in my processes. I dont really have any seriuuos problems except for some internet problems. Now when I am trying to access certain sites and have to go through a redirect page, my browser gets hung up, especially in blackboard which I need. Bascially I am stuck in redirect pages, does anyone know how to fix this....maybe I still have some of the virus left.
