Prefetching in WinXP

    Does anyone know any software for WinXP that would prefetch certain applications?

    I would like to see the same functionality as adding the shortcuts in autostart folder, but without applications appeared in the taskbar until i launch them.

    The purpose is to start to speed up launching of the aplications when i need them.

    Any ideas?

    TSRs are usually written that way..may try firedaemon and make them a service.

    BTW the info came from wikipedia - look up TSR (terminate stay ready) - which links to daemon & services.
