I have Presario 2700. I am experiencing somewhat unsual problem lately.
My heatsink fan is constantly running at high speed as soon as windows comes up and never goes down to slow speed. While heatsink fan at high speed, Windows OS and other applications are running fine. I also perform virus check, spycheck etc. Task Manager indicate CPU is at 99% idle. I have 512MB memory. Before this event, I replaced the keyboard, PCMICA slot, and HD. I have to replaced, all these parts because they were bad. I have not replace the heatsink yet. I was wondering does anyone know the heat sensor is built-in to the heatsink or is it part of the motherboard.
