Printing in a Proprietary Program

We use a PeopleSoft program for student accounting. We recently discovered we are unable to print receipts from some of our printers.

I can only print receipts from a non host-based priter

I'm told I need to install a PCL driver, which makes sense, however, they tell me newer printers lack the proper chip to run the driver.

Print Screen is an undesirable option, as the receipts are multi page.

So, am I stuck with half a dozen printers I can't use? Or is there a workaround?

Have you contacted PeopleSoft? Have you done a google search? Is it an old DOS program? What operating system was the program originally written for? Bazza

Sorry, I misunderstood. Does your PC have serial and/or parallel ports or just USB?

I think EPSON are still making printers with a parallel port. Bazza

It's been a long long time since I used DOS commands.
The only thing I can suggest is try it. It will either work, or won't work. Bazza
