Problem! Could be malware etc or registry problem...please help :(

Right to start off, this problem isn't my own but a friend of mines.
He has Tiscali as his isp and has a 2.3 mbps connection which is connected to his computer via a usb modem. The problem happens roughly around 2 hours after using the internet. It starts of fine, everything working and loading up pages etc, but then all of a sudden, the computer will freeze. You can press ctrl alt del for task manager, but as soon as you press on the networking option it really freezes. If you cold reset the computer it will load up, but when you use the internet, it will go wrong a lot quicker than the first time. He has tried several different types of spyware and registry cleaning software, but to no avail. Now, i have tried his connection through my laptop and it works fine with no problems. This makes me assume its something wrong with either his registry or some malware messing internet properties around. I don't have a clue about registry or malware problems, so i have got a hijackthis log from his computer for you guys to look at and see if you can spot something i cannot.
