Problem? lagging freezeing UBER PC idk wtf!!

First off my Rig
9800gtx oc
q6600 quad core
4gbs of ram
and an micro atx mobo that came with the q6600


I cant figure out why my computer lags.. even on simple games it lags and my cpu my gpu and my ram is uber!! why does it lag on simple games

oh and btw i have a fan thats about 3 feet big modded to it to help with cooling

 

First thoughts? Malware and lack of maintenance, maybe a bad hard drive, maybe incompatible or conflicting BIOS settings. Could be lots of things. Check these links:

For a hard drive diagnostic, visit the drive maker's web site, and go to the support page. For BIOS info, visit you motherboard maker's web site and see if a possible BIOS update will solve a possible conflict or compatibility issue. Maybe the CPU hasn't been set up correctly in the BIOS. You didn't mention the make of your motherboard or the model, so that bit of research is entirely up to you. If you have a 32bit OS, the extra gig of RAM is basically a waste. I'm not an expert in this area, but maybe removing a gig of RAM will actually help.

 

also whats the specs on the power supply? an underpowered video card can make your system slow way down in games
