Problem with 9800XT

The problem started to happen last week when i turned on my comp. I started to see this fuzzy and blocky vertical lines on my LCd monitor. I dont know why this is happening. I neevr had a problem like this before. I was thinking it could maybe be my videocard overheating but I turned my comp off for 2 days. When I tried it again I still have the same problem. I came to 2 conlusion that i thought could be the problem. 1 The Fan on my 9800Xt is broken cause I do hear some strange noise and I belive my temp is very high than normal. It jumped from 65 to 110 in a matter of 5-10 mins. 2. My 9800XT is fried and done for, wish I hope is not the case. Any help will be apperciated. Thanks!

Well the description is a little vague, but something liek that usually is created by the monitor. I'd try using the monitor on another computer.

 

Yes I have tried using my Sony LCD monitor to another comp and it runs fine. I gave the comp a 2 day break. When I ran it again I still have the same problem.

No it wouldn't be a power supply problem. If it does work on another computer then it would have to be something with the video card. Either the drivers or the card itself.
