problem with hpoevm08.exe

    I have been having a huge problem with hpoevm08.exe. Almost every time I get on my computer I have a screen that pops up saying that hpoevm08 is not responding. Nine times out of ten is shuts my computer down without me pushing anything. What can I do? It's driving me nuts. I know just enough about computers to get my by. I think it might have something to do with my printer but I'm clueless.

    hp pavillion 533w
    CPU 2.00 Ghz
    256mb Ram
    1.99 Ghz of something
    printer- hp psc 1210v all in one

    is this printer connected via USB?
    Seen a problem like this b4, with a HP PC & printer - downloaded the latest drivers , ect ... still that error came up.. so I switched it to parallel port and fixed that.

    FYI-hpoevm08.exe is installed alongside Hewlett Packard multi-function printers and allows access to configuration, diagnostic and utility modules for this range of printers

    yes it is connected with USB. I have downloaded all of the latest updates. What is a parallel port? Where can i find one?
