    hello there

I have been having a problem with an old kyocera fs1000 printer I would like to get installed in XP. I have used the driver that is on the Kyocera website and it seems to get the printer installed so it shows up in "Printers and Faxes" in control panel.

The problem is that it randomly spews blank pages out for no reason, sometimes prints duplicate pages and sometimes prints pages with nothing on them except for the number 357.

I had heard of a fix that the printer should be installed as a hp 2000j using xp default drivers but haven't tried it yet since it is a customers pc and I dont have access to it at the moment. Does anyone have any other thoughts?

is the printer yours or the customer's? are they having the same problem? sounds like driver issues or a bad printer

the printer and computer are both the customers, but if you have any thoughts, please let me know and I will be more than willing to try them at the customers place.

The thing is, documents and images print fine, it is just the other nagging problems that are screwing me around

does anybody have any clue whats going on here. I have stopped the spooler services, deleted anything in the printer folder under C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool. Could it be any parallel port settings?
