hi im new to this forum and im looking for help. About 4 days ago my comp just suddenly got overwhelmed with spam and spyware. So like usual I just reformat and reinstall o/s "xp". I went to sony and got there drivers got almost everything up and running but the sound. Ive only done this once to this pc and it was years ago I had the same prob and I cant remember how I got it going. . So far ive tried various drivers"properly", messing with bios settings, tried installing some vaio media software, disabled the onboard and tried installing another audiocard no go, and ive made sure everything is connected. Also I just recently noticed the usb ports do work but they wont recognize any flash drives and with sony's audio drivers theres 8 unknown devices in the d.manager. One of them ive tried only gave me one unknown devices and it actually gave me a speaker icon in the system tray but did not function properly. Heres my system info
