    Dear All,

My computer was recently infected with rootkit zero access virus. I had Kaspersky 2011 internet security but had to turn it off to play a network game which was complaining about the kaspersky firewall. I forgot to turn the Kaspersky back on and then I downloaded a game upgrade which turned out to be a zero access virus. Once I noticed the infection I downloaded Combofix which removed the virus. Since then I re-installed java 7, downloaded and ran ServicesRepair and ran windows update troubleshooter. I also noticed that the windows firewall and windows defender were turned off so I downloaded tweacking windows repair to fix these problems. Everything was fixed except the windows update service which is turned off and produce the error 80096001 when trying to update. I tried everything, Microsoft fixit, reinstalling registry keys for BFE and MpsSvc, uninstalling combofix and went through every forum to no avail. Please help

    Regards
