Problems with internet/signing in.

Today I downgraded to XP, this morning things were working good. Now I can't do things like signing into youtube, When I press "sign in" it's just staying there eventually it will say that "The Connection Has Timed Out." It does the same for hotmail too. When I try to login to Aim and Pidgin it just won't let me sign on!!! Windows Firewall was/is off and I tested the youtube sign in thing with Chrome and IE which still fails.
