proc.hidden discovered by roguekiller

    HI. I was trying to figure out if I had a problem with this laptop.Window 7 home edition, 16g of ram Asus G73S. Followed the instructions for malware removal. Ran CCleaner, then RogueKiller where it detected I had Proc.hidden before I even ran the scan. Continued on running the rest of the programs to see if there were any other problems and none were found although I did have problems installing some of them and took screen shots when problems arose.

    What you saw with MGtools was explained in the instructions. Please just follow them and attach the log.

    FOr the others make sure all protection software has been disabled, UAC is disabled and PC has been rebooted since disabling, make sure you use right click and Run As Administrator.

    Here is the MGtools log file and a jpeg from RougeKiller. Not sure the jpeg will help you help my problem but I can't find any log files for this program. :(

    It is in C:\ProgramData

    What about the log from Hitman Pro?

    I'm not seeing any problems thus far.

    Hi. Sorry it took so long to get back here.

    RougKiller log attached.

    As far as the Hitman. It didn't find anything at all.

    So I guess things are good then?

    Hitman didn't see anything.

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    Hi. Not sure if this has anything to do with the pervious problem but for some reason if I leave on my laptop for a long period of time and not use it, it freezes. Ctrl, Alt, Delete does nothing I have to hold the power button down so I can restart the laptop. ??:confused
