Process tracking software

    Does anyone know if there is a program which can record and display exactly what my CPU/PC is working on at any given time? I have tried some google searches with mixed results.

    Basically my PC is hanging up at various times and since its a new install I don't think its malware. Task manager isn't helping me figure up what is causing the speed bumps either.

    Anyone know of something that will help?

    Hi

    Yes that software will but many including myself tend to use this one Process Explorer as its information is maybe what your after, has alot of data in right clicking a process and choosing Properties or Check Online, if at the time of a hang a process is highlighted, it lists all running processes so if one errant one is running you maybe able to trace its origin.
