Processor question

If the system has a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300 1.8Ghz - With the front bus, how fast is it really? I don't know the speed of the front bus. I ask this because I was told that it really performs faster then a 1.8

Here are the other specs if that helps:
-Asus P5B-VM SE motherboard
-Gforce 8600 GT 256MB PCIX

 

the e6300 performs well. I had a pent d 930 @3 gig and the e6300 outperformed it . Hope that helps
