program for extracting rar files?

Hi I have RAR file that needs to be extracted. I downloaded thisprogram called Express Zip..but when I try and use it to extract a .rar file it says "Instal on Demand commponent required...will take 20's run to run". I don't like the sound of that. Other extractor programs never asked me to run extra code that wasn't included up front. Is this normal?

I forget the name of the program I used to use, can anyone recommend a free-ware download that will just do it's thing without trying to add anything else to my PC?
