My computer clock consistently loses time, even with a fresh battery. Is there an easy-to-set-up program that will adjust the clock to the right time automatically whenever I connect to the Internet? I have dial-up. I know that the U.S. government's NIST has an Internet Time Service program, but it looks complicated and I think you have to be online for several hours for it to work effectively. I'm online only about an hour at a time, and I don't shut down my computer between uses. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I installed Atomic Clock Sync before I saw Robo's message. It looks good. But so does Elmusoft PTBSync. Now, can I install the Elmusoft PTBSync without removing Atomic Clock Sync and compare the two?

Heh, I use Nistime32. Requires a little more configurating.

    PC Clocks

    Hi Frybo30, Check out Symm.time on www.ntp-systems.com/symmtime.asp
Works on all Windows from 95 onwards. You can load more than 24 clocks for all different time zones, if you want. They can even have their own colour scheme to show what day it is in various continents. It can be set to update your PC with atomic clock time every X minutes, hours or manually whenever you want to. Lots of other options.
Compliments of Wanda p43, Australia's Internet magazine, April edition.

I haven't used it yet as I only received my mag copy yesterday. I use Neutron V1.03 (probably an old version) from http://keir.net It is simple to use and I run it manually once a day. My laptop only loses a few seconds a day so it is not that critical.

PS: MG's clock is slow , IMHO Baz
