We are seeking a Computer Programmer/Analyst for our Computer Services Department
Whose primary job duties will include but are not limited to:

Analyze, design, program, test and document new software applications. Analyze, support, troubleshoot and modify current software applications to meet changing needs. Upgrade current software when necessary. Research and test new commercial software applications that might be appropriate for use in various Riverbay departments such as Risk Management, Payroll, Human Resources and Public Safety. Research, learn and test new, up-to-date software development tools. Assist network administrator in supporting the network, especially in those areas related to computer system requirements. Set up and configure servers and server software such as SQL.
Design and program applications that share data and streamline processes by setting up interfaces between Riverbay and third-party software. Train employees to use software.
Identify and attend technical training classes and seminars that will improve effectiveness and productivity.

Work/educational experience requirements:

Develops Windows and web-based client-server enterprise-scale applications using a rich variety of technologies. Possesses conceptual and practical knowledge in the different areas. Uses object-oriented software design concepts and practical GUI design. Develops extensive applications utilizing Microsoft Visual FoxPro. Experience includes class and form development, utilization of stored procedures, triggers, field validations, transactions, Reports, Menus and toolbars. Use of ActiveX controls and Windows API calls. Programs in Visual Basic including Microsoft's COM-based technologies such as Distributed COM (DCOM), COM+, MSMQ, Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) and ActiveX Controls. Develops web applications using HTML, ASP 2.0 (VBScript and JavaScript) and ASP .Net (C# and JavaScript).
Designs and develops relational databases using MS SQL Server 2000. Possesses in-depth understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, as well as practical knowledge of requirements analysis process and interaction with internal and external clients, as well as technical and non-technical users. Has practical knowledge of Windows NT/2000 Network administration. Troubleshoots Windows Workstations. Performs maintenance activities including upgrades, customization, report writing, and troubleshooting. BS in Computer Science or related field
