When I click my start menu I don't have an explore option to get to the C:\Program Files Folder. I can get to the C:\Program Files Folder via the search function. I created a new HJT folder that way but I do want to be sure I do it properly. I am running XP. Do you have any suggestions? Please excuse my ignorance.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Thus instructions should have said right click Start and select Explore. ;)

You don't need them now anyway. We have put a new form of HijackThis on our download link. If you download it from us, it is named hijackthis_sfx.exe which you can just run. It will automatically extract and defaults to creating and installing it like the below

    C:\Program Files\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe

You will just need to rename HijackThis.exe to analyse.exe
