I left my USB sticks at a clients site just recently, and thats when it hit me - it is not protected. I have all the information on there synced to my laptop, so I'm not afraid of losing it. I just want to make sure no one else can access it (at least without knowing a password). I thought I saw a program like that on MJ, but I tried looking and couldn't find it. Is there a way of doing this? And if so, what program would you recommend? I will continue looking, but thought I would get help this way also. Thanks!

umm, how come when I post something, no one writes back. I get the feeling I'm not welcome here . . . . :(

Give 'em time sometimes it takes a little longer for a response. IMO the majority of USB drives come with a password program on the drive but if this is not so what I would do is put all the infor you want to protect into a folder and encrypt the folder. I use a little program called Mpcrypt which I bought about 5 years ago for around $5 and it works very effectively. If you encrypt into an .exe file (one of the options) a double click on the exe decrypts the whole lot leaving the exe. But there are many other programs available I'm sure - I just like Mpcrypt.
