I'm learning qBASIC and I'm trying to get IF statements to work right. The program gives me a "Type Mismatch" error for my IF statement where I underlined. Any help will be appreciated. :)

    Code:
input "What is your name"; name$
    if name$=[u]Chris[/u] then goto chrishome
    print "Welcome, "; name$; "!"
    end
    chrishome: print "Welcome Master "; name$; "!"
    end

put Chris in qoutation marks. and a word of advice. I would use subs, instead of the goto command. there a lot easier, not many programmers like the goto command. i know i dont.
