Question about DVD player programs

I'm in Japan right now, so the DVDs I buy here are a different region than the ones I have from the States (call me captain obvious). My question is this, can I have two different DVD programs (like PowerDVD and somthing else) on my computer set up with different regional settings?

Use a program like DVD Region-Free and you can forget about region codes.

It works with PowerDVD, WinDVD, Windows Media Player etc...
