Question About Paging File XP

    Goldenskull I can't follow the rules

    is it best too have a little more paging file
    Be cause i just upgraded my memory too day to 8gigs
    8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24) Rip Jaw
    I set my VM too 8184 Or do i need VM at all sense i now have 8gigs.

    I dont have 32 i have 64bit i can go to 16gigs if i want too And i know what th memory limits are And the question was about Virtual memory Not RAM

    Windows will need some paging file. But in general, the more physical ram you have the less paging file you need.

    So Basicly i could go with out VM if i want too and just use Ram then But it seems that I am much fast with the VM then with out it.Yeah but would more VM effect my HD performences

    Window will always use some paging file for it's own use. No, more paging file size won't hurt HD performance.

    Well i have two HDs and i put all of my VM on the Spare Drive and left C: empty So now every thing is going too my Spare and i set it too 4gigs of VM
