Question

Greetings!

On Monday while using windows media player I received a message "drwatson postmortem debugger needs to close" etc. Now I cannot access any video or picture files on my computer. As soon as I click on them I get an error message and it closes. I have ran Trendmicro housecall, Panda and Bitdefender as well. Any help? I do not know if it is malware or in the system itself. Thank you

What is the error message?
Have you tried right clicking and from the menu select Open with then browse to where WMP.exe is located and choose that?

 

It shows 2 messages, 1st one is this: DrWatson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. 2d 1 is this: windows media play has encountered a problem and needs to close. sorry for the inconvienence. I have did an uninstall on media player 11 and re installed it also. MY dvd ripper will not work now also.

 

Sorry, for the question...BUT.....have ye tried rebooting? Then try running the app again?
