I have read that compressing NTFS will slow your pc down, unless you have have a small HDD (less than 8GB). That's because it hogs the cpu. I have a pc at work (elementary school) that is a PIII. If I compress it, will it slow it down much? I've compressed some old files already, but I am thinking of compressing all of them. I was wondering if the 8GB rule only applied to fast CPU's.:confused
