Quick and Easy Question regarding Memory

I have a Compaq V2000 with 512MB ram.

I am wanting to upgrade it and buy a 1GB simm.

If I understand everything correctly, as I believe, I have read the charts
and info correctly, this is the memory I want.

Can someone confirm if this will work. I know the size and pin specs should work:

This is what I want to add. I have 2 slots total.

This is PC2 5300 ram, and I don't know if this will work in my Compaq V2000 for sure.

As your computer apparently takes DDR333 (PC2700) RAM, the one you link to won't even fit your machine. Nor would it be of any benefit to buy DDR400 (PC3200) or higher, as well.
