I have a QB Version on my PC and would like to see if a different version would be more to my liken. Has anyone every install two different versions of QB on the same system. Will QB overlay the one I have installed or will it let me have have the two different versions installed at the same time?

You can have two versions installed. In fact, some PCs at my work have 5 to 6 versions on them. I have only 2 on mine as I uninstall old versions when my clients that use QB upgrade to newer versions. Just make sure the install folders are different (i.e. QuickBooks 2006 folder, QuickBooks 2007 folder, etc.).

Of course, make a backup of your data file before installing the new version, and remember, when you update the data file to the newer version of QB, you can no longer use that file with the older version.
