I am trying to install Quicktime ( new version ) for Windows 7. I keep getting an error message- error code 2869. How can I correct this problem?

This is caused by UAC in Windows 7, I would suggest installing as Administrator.

    1. Press the Windows Key and the 'R' key at the same time to open a Run Prompt.
    2. Now type “cmd” in the start menu search box or in run.
    3. Press Shift+Ctrl+Enter to lauch command prompt with administrative privileges.

Then change directories to where you have the quicktime file, I would suggest moving it to C:

    so you can just type

C:\quicktimeinstall.msi or whatever it is called.
