I am in the process of upgrading my computer and have encountered a problem setting RAID 0. I have setup RAID 0 before without any problems, but this seems to have beaten me.
    ASUS P4P800S-X MB
Two Maxtor Diamond 80GB SATA drives

The problem is that I am unable to find a way of entering the RAID details during Windows setup. I have downloaded what I think are the correct drivers on to a floppy, when I get the F6 prompt I insert the floppy and keep getting the same message:
THE FILE TXTSETUP.OEM COULD NOT BE FOUND
    Anyone got any ideas ?
    Thanks in anticipation,
    FBW

it seems like you have the wrong files on the floppy disc i'm sure you can copy the files you need from your Asus CD disk

im sure the files you need are on your Asus cd disc that came with your motherboard

    Ditto,
You dont have the correct drivers or just didnt copy the txt setup oem file.
They are on the mobo cd, the web may have updated ones.
Also note, if the files are zipped they must be unzipped before appling to floppy.
Some mobo cd have the file marked as F6 or something like that, but all are some what different, there should be a readme file with the instruction's on the F6/sata drivers, on how to make & which files are needed, on the MOBO CD.

    Thanks for your replies.
The "txtsetup.oem" file is definitely not on the MB CD

Hi Fly ... if I can add my 5 penneth, here is a copy of part of my post after experiencing a similar problem .....

Sorted, thought i'd let you guys know how it went.. NEVER, NEVER believe what you read in MOBO Manual or what info can be gathered from Mobo site.. I was lead to believe that that the driver I needed to install on F6 was Sil 3112 Sat Raid .. But not so.. I came accross it by chance in the F6 window 'A'' Drive' install , I never knew that the 5 drivers in window on screen could be scrolled and that was where the driver I needed was ''via sata raid XP' driver.. not the one I had read previous... lesson learnt..
    __________________
hope this is of help when you find the drivers, and as said previous they should have been on a floppy that came with Mobo..

    Thanks Toke.............
The problem now seems to be with the computer reading the files from the floppy. I have just downloaded the following files direct from the Intel site on to a floppy

    iaStor.cat
    iaStor.inf
    iaStor.cat
    License.txt
    readme.txt
    TXTSETUP.oem

These are the files required for the F6 prompt
However I keep getting the same problem and error message:

THE FILE TXTSETUP.OEM COULD NOT BE FOUND

    Regards
    FBW

    HUMM!
Have you tryed to recopy to another floppy, are you sure what ya downloaded is the correct version for your mobo, ya might just try download again, bad download?

    Back to your mobo CD:

    "Driver contents of CD ..............

File list for the included support software for P4P800S series motherboard
    ===========================================================================
    File Name Description
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    --Drivers"

Open the file "drivers" the files you need should be in there, the readme file too?
Sorry I dont have this particular board so I cant be more specific, I have had trouble in the past extracting the correct sata drivers for a different mobo.
If I remember rite there may have been more than one TXToem file.

Another thing, I doubt your floppy drive is the problem, but if ya got another lying around try it.

    Thanks for the reply's..........
I eventually downloaded the files from Intel onto a seperate HD, opened them and sent them to the floppy. THIS WORKED !!
So I have now got passed the F6 problem, didn't set the RAID 0 up but I will try tomorrow morning and set the RAID 0 up
    Regards
    FBW
